Dissemination of the state standard GOST 15150-69

All requirements set out in this standard are mandatory, except for the requirements defined as recommended or permitted.
The standard is applicable to all types of machines, instruments and other technical products. Climatic GOST 15150 divides the globe into climatic regions, and also defines designs, categories, operating conditions, storage and transportation.

  • general provisions applicable, in particular, for circuit breakers;
  • description of climatic versions and product categories;
  • determination of normal values of environmental climatic factors;
  • requirements for products (circuit breakers) regarding climate impacts;
  • requirements for products in terms of nominal values of climatic factors during operation;
  • effective values of climatic factors;
  • operating conditions of metals and other materials;
  • how to use temperate climate products in cold or tropical areas;
  • application of products on higher altitude than the specified nominal value;
  • description of storage and transportation conditions;
  • several appendices detailing some of the factors.

Inconsistency between this climate standard GOST 15150-69 and the international IEC

For several compelling reasons, it is impossible to talk about work to bring into compliance with the international IEC standard and regulations in the CIS.

The difference in standards is as follows (disadvantages of the IEC):

  • there is no clear division between climates in the IEC;
  • there is an irrational grouping of climates;
  • each specific operating condition is assigned its own climate class based on a single climate parameter;
  • in the international system there are no divisions into marine and oceanic climates;
  • In the CIS, the international IEC selects unsuccessful lower temperature values, which leads to inappropriate climatic zoning.

IEC 721-3 series standards on this moment subject to revision, therefore the harmonization of climate regulatory documents cannot yet be implemented.

Some examples of climatic versions and placement categories

  • Example UHL1. Flexible cable of the KG brand for flexible connection of electrical installations, as well as power cable of the VVG brand are produced in the UHL1 version (suitable for moderate and cold areas when working under the influence of atmospheric factors).
  • Example UHL3. Most circuit breakers are assigned the UHL design (for macroclimatic areas with temperate and cold climates) placement category 3 (operation in enclosed spaces with natural ventilation, where the effects of temperature, humidity and dust are lower than in open space; no exposure to rain, snow, solar radiation , wind).
  • Example UHL4. PML magnetic starters have a UHL climatic design with placement category 4 (creation of artificial climatic conditions, closed heated rooms with forced ventilation).
  • Example U1. Industrial explosion-proof lamps NSP are manufactured in the U1 climatic design (operational in a moderate macroclimatic region when used in open space). More in this category: "GOST R 52766-2007 Public roads

1. GENERAL PROVISIONS

1.1. This standard shall be used in the design and manufacture of products. In particular, it should be used when drawing up technical specifications for the development or modernization of products, as well as when developing state standards and technical conditions establishing requirements regarding the impact of environmental climatic factors for a group of products, and in the absence of the specified group documents, for individual species products.

1.2. Products must maintain their parameters within the limits established by technical specifications, standards or specifications during the service life and shelf life specified in technical specifications, standards or technical conditions, after and (or) during exposure to climatic factors, the values of which are established by this standard.

Products are intended for operation, storage and transportation in the range from the upper to the lower values of these climatic factors, while in addition to the ranges of climatic factors within which the operation of the products is ensured during operation, one or more narrower ranges of climatic factors can be established, within which provide a narrower range of parameter deviations (for example, higher control or measurement accuracy). Within these ranges, multiple values for the same factor may also be specified when establishing requirements for various stages operation or individual technical characteristics, for example, several values of the upper and (or) effective temperature for different resources or service lives.

Where necessary, standards or technical specifications must indicate permissible deviations of parameters from their initial values during operation.

1.3. For specific types or groups of products, the types of influencing climatic factors and their nominal values are established depending on the operating conditions of the products in the relevant technical specifications, standards and technical conditions.

If there are documents that establish for groups of products a connection between the values of the factors specified in this standard and the conditions of use of the products, you should be guided by the instructions of these documents.

1.3 a. It is allowed to operate products in macroclimatic areas and (or) locations different from those for which the products are intended, if climatic factors during operation do not exceed the limits of the nominal values established for these products. For example, products of the UHL4 climatic version can be operated in UHL2 conditions during the dry summer period.

It is allowed to operate products in conditions where the values of climatic factors go beyond the established nominal values, if deviations in the service life and (or) other parameters of the products are acceptable. At the same time, the permissibility of operation and its terms, the values of climatic factors, permissible deviations in service life and (or) other parameters of products, as well as (if necessary) Additional requirements for product maintenance are established in the regulatory and technical documentation or agreed with the product supplier.

1.4. In accordance with economic and technical feasibility, it is recommended to manufacture products suitable for use in several areas and (or) locations established by this standard.

1.5. Products may also be intended for use in several macroclimatic regions and (or) locations, or for storage in several conditions alternately for a period of time. different terms; in these cases combinations various conditions operation or storage with periods of stay in these conditions are established in standards or technical specifications for products.

1.2-1.4. (Changed edition, Amendment No. 2).

1.6. Requirements for the effects of environmental climatic factors in standards, technical specifications and other regulatory and technical documentation for products are established in accordance with Appendix 8.

For products developed before 07/01/79, it is allowed not to change the previously established designations of climatic versions of products in the following cases:

    if the products are scheduled to be discontinued before 07/01/85 and will not be produced as spare parts in the future;

    if it is necessary to use existing equipment and accompanying documentation produced by printing, but no later than 07/01/85.

(Changed edition, Amendment No. 4).

2.7a. They do not manufacture products of the types of climatic modifications indicated in the first line of the table. 2a, since these products meet the requirements for products of climatic design types, given respectively in the second line of Table. 2a.

2.8. IN symbol type (brand) of the product, additionally, after all the designations related to the modification of the product, enter letters and numbers indicating the type of climatic modification of the product. For example, an electric motor of type AO2-21-4 in version T for placement category 2 is designated AO2-21-4T2.

The designation of the type of climate control is indicated in all types of documentation, including operational documentation, as well as on the nameplate (label), which should indicate the type (brand) of the product.

It is allowed not to enter the type of climatic modification into the symbol of the type (brand) of the product in the cases specified in subparagraphs a, b, c. In this case, the type of climate control must be specified in the standards or technical conditions and operational documentation. The designation may not indicate:

b) the type of climatic design of one of the product options, which is usually common for the entire industry or group of products in the industry, if the products are manufactured in several types of climatic design;

For products that do not have a serial number, plates or individual differences (for example, electronic products, electrical installation products), it is allowed to apply symbols or symbol on a non-removable part.

The designation of types of climatic design of products manufactured in accordance with clause 1.4 must include either a combination of design and category that provides the most severe operating conditions, or (if this combination cannot be established) several designs and categories for which the products are intended (combined designation). For example, an electric motor type AO2-21-4, intended for categories 2, 3, 4 of the UHL version (category 2 is the most stringent for this product), designated AO2-21-4UHL2; the same electric motor, designed to operate additionally under conditions of category 5, is designated AO2-21-4UHL2.5 in conditions of category 4, version O-AO2-21-4UHL2O4 (in the last two examples, category 2 is the most stringent for this product in terms of the lower temperature value, category 5 or O4 conditions for air humidity).

For products that meet the requirements of clause 5.2, for those cases where the range of nominal values for any factor is narrower than the range of normal operating values, as well as for products whose operating conditions are established in accordance with clause 1.5, to the designation of the type of climatic modification (or categories) add *.

For products that meet the requirements of clause 5.2, in cases where the range of nominal values for any climatic factor is wider than the range of normal operating values, and narrower ranges of values for other climatic factors are not provided, the sign * is added to the designation of the type of climatic design *. This sign is not added to the designation of groups of products specially designed in accordance with clause 5.2 for use as built-in elements for complete products, where the temperature inside the structure is higher than outside.

If the product consists of several components that do not have a common shell and operate in conditions different categories, the designation of the product category as a whole is taken according to components, performing the main function; the standard or technical specifications for the product may also indicate categories of other components.

In the designation of products that comply with the requirements of clause 5.10, and products intended for operation only in a non-air environment, instead of designating the type of climatic modification, the symbol * is used. For example, AO2-21-4*.

In the designation of products intended for use in water, the symbol * is used instead of the category designation. For example, AO2-21-4OM *.

It is allowed to separate the designation of the climatic version with a line from the main designation of the products if the absence of the line leads to a distortion of the main designation.

It is allowed not to enter designations of types of climatic modifications into the symbol of product types in technical documentation (except for technical conditions and operational documentation) developed before January 1, 1972.

For materials and semi-finished products, the designation of the type of climatic modification or only the climatic modification is established in cases not specified in subparagraph a, while the category designation as part of the designation of the type of climatic modification is allowed to be established in cases where the material is used for the direct manufacture of product parts.

2.7, 2.8. (Changed edition, Amendment No. 2, 4). conditions are established in standards or technical specifications for products.

(Introduced additionally, Amendment No. 2).

3. NORMAL VALUES OF CLIMATIC FACTORS OF THE EXTERNAL ENVIRONMENT DURING OPERATION AND TESTS

3.1. Normal values of environmental climatic factors during product operation are taken equal to the values specified in paragraphs. 3.2-3.14, 3.16. These values apply to the operation of products at altitudes up to 1000 m, unless otherwise stated in the paragraphs of this section.

3.2. Ambient air temperature values are given in table. 3.

* For products that, due to operating conditions, may have interruptions in operation at occasionally appearing temperatures below minus 40°C, the lower operating temperature value in technically justified cases can be taken equal to minus 40°C.

To comply with the specifications, the lower operating temperature value is taken to be minus 25°C, the lower limit operating temperature value is minus 30°C.

** For some areas with a subtropical climate, the value is taken to be minus 10°C.

*** For some areas in China, Turkey, Afghanistan, the value is taken to be minus 20°C.

**** For ships not used in areas of the Arctic Ocean in winter, the lower operating temperature value is taken to be minus 30°C.

***** For operation in a non-operating state (for operational storage and transportation), the value is taken the same as for category 3, and for the type of climatic version B4 - as for the type of modification OM3.

****** For execution T.

******** For some points in Central Sahara the temperature is taken to be 55°C. It is allowed to set the temperature to 45°C for products developed before 07/01/89 and not supplied to the regions of Iraq, the countries of the Arabian Peninsula, Southern Iran and Central Sahara.

1. for outdoor use (exposure to a combination of climatic factors characteristic of a given climatic region).

2. for operation under a canopy or in rooms (volumes) where fluctuations (and air humidity) do not differ significantly from fluctuations in the open air and there is relatively free access to outside air, for example in tents, bodies, trailers, metal rooms without thermal insulation, as well as in shells of a complete product of category 1 (no direct exposure to solar radiation and precipitation).

3. For use in enclosed spaces (volumes) with natural ventilation without artificially controlled climatic conditions, where fluctuations (and air humidity and exposure to sand and dust are significantly less than in the open air, for example in metal with thermal insulation, stone, concrete, wooden rooms (no exposure to precipitation, direct solar radiation; significant reduction in wind; significant reduction or absence of exposure to diffuse solar radiation and moisture condensation).

4. For use in rooms (volumes) with artificially controlled climatic conditions, for example, in closed heated or cooled and ventilated production facilities, etc., including well-ventilated underground rooms (no exposure to direct solar radiation, precipitation, wind, sand and dust outside air; absence or significant reduction of exposure to diffuse solar radiation and moisture condensation.

5. For operation in rooms (volumes) with high humidity (for example, in unheated and unventilated underground rooms, including in mines, basements, in the soil, in such ship, ship and other rooms in which long-term presence of water or frequent condensation of moisture on the walls and ceiling, in particular in some holds, some workshops of textile, hydrometallurgical production, etc.).
