Photos of beautiful flower vases from bottles

One of simple ways make a vase from bottles - cut off the neck and cut part of the bottle into equal strips. At the same time, do not forget to leave a distance to the bottom so that you can place a flower in the vase.

Even children can make a vase from plastic bottles. To do this you will need scissors, plastic bottles and acrylic paints. The bottle is cut into three parts. Middle part you'll just have to throw it away. The bottom element of the bottle will make an excellent stand. You can draw some patterns or floral prints on it. It is better to cut the top element figuratively and paint it in one color so that the vase turns out to be contrasting and the patterns drawn earlier are visible on it.

Do you like to make original souvenirs? Looking for new options that are easy to complete? Vase from glass bottle It is very easy to do with your own hands. Read about the variety of gifts and decorations you can get from unwanted containers of wine and other drinks.

How to cut the neck at home

The vase itself from a glass bottle can be made with your own hands in different ways. Before you start decorating, you will have to carry out the necessary operation - removing the neck of the bottle. Of course, you can leave it, then very few flowers will fit in such a vessel. Choose what is best for you.

If you decide to cut off the neck, it’s easy to do even without using cutting tool. You will need the following:

  • dense woolen thread no more than half a meter long;
  • solvent (acetone, gasoline, alcohol, kerosene);
  • lighter or matches;
  • container with water;
  • gloves and glasses (if you care about your safety);
  • (sandpaper), a whetstone for sharpening blades is suitable.

The sequence of work will be as follows:

  1. Take the bottle in your hands and mark a line where you want the “cut”.
  2. Dip the thread into the solvent.
  3. Wind it around the bottle in the designated place so that the thread is in three layers (the exact size can be determined in advance by trying on).
  4. Quickly light the thread. Hold the bottle horizontally.
  5. When the thread burns, immediately place the object in a container of cold water.
  6. Due to a sharp temperature change, the glass will burst exactly in the place where the thread was and the heating occurred.
  7. Sand the sharp edges with sandpaper or a block. The second is best done in water.

So, from a bottle you can make a blank for a vase. Even from identical containers it is easy to obtain different shapes. It is enough to change the position of the thread vertically (higher or lower). You can even place it diagonally, then the cut will be appropriate.

Possible techniques and options

As already mentioned, a do-it-yourself glass bottle vase can be made in different ways. They are as follows:

  • Pasting with table napkins to form a textured surface or openwork pattern and additional bead decoration.
  • Using satin ribbons and threads.
  • Decoupage.
  • Drawing patterns on glass (imitation stained glass).
  • Applying decorative elements using a stencil or using regular adhesive tape.
  • Decorating the surface by gluing any bulk material (river sand, cereals, beads).

As you can see, the possibilities are varied. Even a child can easily cope with some methods; in other cases, an adult will need patience and perseverance, but the result is worth the time spent.

DIY glass bottle vase: master class (painting and stained glass techniques)

One of the most simple methods, giving a spectacular result - the use of paint. Gold, silver or any other will do. Metallic or pearlescent shades will look more impressive.

The easiest way to apply pigment is from a spray can, however, you can use the composition from a jar or tube. It is not always convenient to do this with a brush, as it can result in streaks and unevenness. It is better to use a sponge or a regular sponge. Suitable for work. You can apply several layers with the previous one drying first.

Varnish is perfect as a finishing touch. It creates a moisture-resistant glossy surface. Shine increases with each additional application. It's better to apply larger number layers rather than increasing the thickness of each.

If you are good with a brush and have a set of several flowers, you can make a vase with patterns. If you use acrylic, the paint layer will be opaque. The pigments in them are quite bright and after application they retain the transparency of the surface, however, it is not always good to work with them on a colored bottle. It is worth remembering that a special contour is usually sold along with stained glass paints, which can be used to outline parts of the pattern so that the paint does not spread beyond the boundaries of the form.

Drawing a design using a stencil or regular electrical tape

You can make an impressive DIY glass bottle vase if you use templates in the form of patterns. After the bottle is covered with a layer of base, you should attach the stencil to the surface and fill the shaped hole with paint of a different shade.

Stencils are easy to make yourself. As the simplest option will do regular electrical tape. Stick it on the bottle, for example, wrapping it in a spiral. After the workpiece has been painted and dried, you need to remove the adhesive tape. Where it was, the surface will retain its original color or remain transparent. Fast, original and effective.

Satin ribbons

A do-it-yourself vase from a glass bottle shimmering with a mother-of-pearl sheen (photo below) is very easy to make. It is enough to apply glue to the base or itself and start wrapping the workpiece. The vase can be made from strips of the same shade or a combination of different ones. The same applies to the width of the tapes. By the way, after wrapping it is easy to glue additional decor on top: beads, bows, decorations using the kanzashi technique. The tapes can be wound horizontally or at an angle. Usually the first option is used.

Another simple way to decorate

You can make a vase from a glass bottle with your own hands using thread very quickly. The principle of operation is the same as with satin ribbons, only the surface texture is completely different. The yarn can be wound around the entire vase or in strips at intervals. Products made from different colors, for example, in the form of a rainbow going from top to bottom. It’s easy to make an additional pattern or decorate it with threads. crocheted details.

We use table napkins and decor

As you can see, there are a lot of ways to decorate a regular blank bottle. We discussed above simple options. The next method is somewhat more time consuming. A DIY glass bottle vase with napkins is made like this:

  1. Apply glue to the surface.
  2. Place a napkin on top. There is no need to level it. The folds will form part of the pattern and texture of the surface.
  3. Take a cotton swab and make indentations in a damp cloth in the place where you will attach the decor (beads, rhinestones, beads). It is enough to rotate the stick at a certain point.
  4. When the entire surface is filled with napkins, leave to dry for about four hours.
  5. Glue the decor. You can make a pattern from threads.
  6. Cover the entire surface with spray paint, such as silver or gold.

It turns out very original and impressive.

Making a souvenir with children

Toddlers and schoolchildren all love to make gifts. Give your child this opportunity. A DIY glass bottle vase for children can be made using almost any method presented above. Most importantly, you must prepare the base in advance so that there are no sharp edges or glass dust residue anywhere.

The guys enjoy working with small children bulk materials. In addition, this is a very useful activity for developing fine motor skills of the fingers. You can decorate the surface of the vase with river sand, pebbles, shells, beads, beads, coins and even cereals.

The simplest method is to pour the composition into a container into which you can place the blank bottle. Apply a layer of glue on it and “roll” it like cutlets in breadcrumbs in the prepared mixture. In addition, the child can sort out and pour this composition. Turn an ordinary activity into a creative learning and development process.

After the decorative “sprinkling” and glue have dried, you can paint the vase. It depends on the material used and its decorative properties. Colored beads or sand, of course, do not need to be dyed, but grains are quite worth it. If the decorative layer remains unpainted and is not applied tightly, it is worth filling the surface of the bottle with a certain tone before applying the decor. This method of making a vase alone, in its various variations, can give a large number of original souvenirs.

DIY glass bottle vase: decoupage

This now fashionable technique is actually not as complicated as it might seem at first glance. Its meaning is that napkins with drawings are glued to the surface. Both special and regular canteens are used. The main thing is that the pattern suits you.

The sequence of decorating a bottle using this method will be as follows:

  1. Cover the bottle with a layer of white primer. You can use acrylic paint. It is better to degrease the surface with alcohol first. It is easier to apply pigment with a sponge or sponge, but you can also use a brush.
  2. After drying, apply PVA glue to the surface and carefully smooth the attached napkin (or part of it) from the middle to the edges.
  3. If the contours of a hand-cut or “plucked” design are visible, carefully go over them with a brush or sponge with paint.
  4. Add the necessary decor.
  5. Apply the product in several layers.

So, even without knowing how to draw, you can create souvenirs with beautiful photorealistic or painting-stylized pictures.

You learned with your own hands in different ways. Choose the one that suits you and try your hand at this interesting and creative activity. Create beautiful souvenirs for yourself and as gifts for friends and family.

Plastic bottles come in a variety of shapes, which makes them an excellent material for creating crafts, such as vases. Making a vase from a plastic bottle with your own hands is easy and quick; besides, plastic bottles can often be found at home in every housewife. Using improvised materials you can make very interesting and original vases.

Plastic bottles, among other things, are a very flexible and pliable material, it is easy to cut and shape into any shape.

We bring to your attention interesting master classes on creating lovely vases from plastic bottles. In their decoration you can also use corrugated paper, and plasticine, and old CDs.

A vase from a plastic bottle can be made in several ways, and here are just a few of them:

  1. You can cut beautiful patterns on the surface of the bottle using scissors or a heated nail;
  2. You can wrap the bottle with threads, jute or ribbons;
  3. You can also paint the bottle with spray paint or make a design using masking tape;
  4. You can decorate a vase made from a plastic bottle with twigs, coffee beans, fallen leaves and other materials.

And many more different ways. Perhaps you will choose something from the list, or maybe you will come up with your own vase, and then it will be unique.

Let's start the lesson

In this master class we will tell you step by step how to make a simple vase from a plastic bottle using:

  • the bottle itself;
  • acrylic spray paints;
  • buckwheat;
  • PVA glue (it is advisable to use construction glue);
  • scissors;
  • decoration elements.

First you need to cut off the bottom of the bottle, this will be the bowl of the vase. Use scissors or stationery knife.

The top of the bottle will be the stand. Make it whatever size you would like.

You should have two components of the vase - top and bottom.

The edges of the vase bowl can be left as is, or you can round them off using scissors.

Now let's start assembling the vase. You can simply use hot glue and glue the stand to the bowl, or you can go a little more labor-intensive.

In the bottom of the vase bowl, you need to cut a hole the size of the neck of the stand, insert the neck into the hole and screw it with a stopper.

You can additionally add glue to the neck so that it sticks to the base.

This way the vase will be more secure and durable.

Let's move on to decorating the vase. We coat the edges of both parts with PVA glue and sprinkle with buckwheat, pressing it tightly with your fingers so that it does not come off. You can use gloves to avoid getting glue on your hands.

After the glue has completely dried, you can begin painting the vase. You can choose any color that suits your interior.

It is best to work with spray paint outdoors or only if the room is well ventilated. We are waiting for the paint to dry completely. The vase can be decorated with pieces of guipure or lace.

A handmade vase made from a plastic bottle is ready to delight you!

Floor option

A floor vase is also easy to make using just a plastic bottle, scissors or a utility knife and waterproof spray paint.

Let's take a two-liter bottle and cut off the neck. The edges of the vase can be left as is, or you can add an openwork design using a heated nail or soldering iron. Make several dots that are not connected to each other to create a lace pattern.

Now the vase needs to be carefully spray painted. Matte paints look beautiful.

Product from a bottle

Small cute vases can be made from the neck of a plastic bottle and a disk. They are made very, very simply.

We cut off the neck of the bottle in a figurative manner or just straight, screw on the cap, and you can glue it on. Now we glue this structure to the CD and leave it to dry.

After a few minutes, when the glue has completely dried, you can paint the vase. It is best to use waterproof paints.

The bottom of the bottle can also be painted and used as a vase or flower pot.

Another way

A small vase that we will make from two parts of a plastic bottle will look great at the dacha. To do this, let's take:

  • plastic two-liter bottle;
  • scissors;
  • decorations;
  • paints.

We will cut the bottle in half, decorate the lower part with simple patterns - beads, beads, or simply paint acrylic paints or contours.

At the top part we will cut out a wavy border and bend the semicircular elements outwards. Paint it with bright spray paint, and after the paint has dried, insert it into the lower part of the vase. The bent elements are needed so that the part with the neck holds better.

The progress of the work is clearly visible in the photo below.

This vase can be used for succulents, small decorative flowers, seedlings or even sweets.

Beautiful vases made from plastic bottles

Nowadays it is fashionable to make various crafts from plastic.
I offer options for vases made from plastic bottles (there is a MK for the first two vases).

First MK

Here is a video about this vase:

Second MK

Elena Khorolskaya prepared a master class on how to make a vase from a plastic bottle. Everything is very simple, from scrap materials, practically “from garbage”.
It's no secret that flowers in the house are a pleasure to the eye. But for those people who suffer from allergies, it is not possible to constantly use living bouquets. At the same time, you can make a vase with artificial flowers with your own hands from scrap materials.

To make it you will need a green plastic bottle of any shape and size, a plastic backing from confectionery and scissors (it is better to use regular and manicure ones).
Carefully cut off the top and neck of the bottle. We won't need it.

Next, cut the body of the bottle from top to bottom into strips about 0.5-1.0 cm thick.
The thinner the strips, the more of them you will get. It is very important that these future “stems” are straight. The ends of the strips must be sharpened. To do this, very carefully cut the corners with scissors, holding them with your hand.

The vase is ready. Now you should think about what available material you can make flowers from? Can be made from regular colored paper. And we suggest cutting flowers from foam substrates from confectionery products.
Cut the substrates with ordinary scissors into small squares with a side length of 3-4 cm. Next we will use thin nail scissors. In each square, carefully cut the corners in a semicircle - you get circles. These are preparations for future flowers.
Using sharp scissors, cut out triangles in circles in four, five, six places. We get flowers that look a little like snowflakes with rough petals.

Now on each such petal you just need to cut off a corner with sharp scissors. This will make the flower petals a little softer.
When cutting flowers from foam plastic substrates, it is very important to use your imagination a little, then each flower will be unique, and you will get a very beautiful bouquet from flowers, made independently, with your own hands.
Now you need to carefully put each cut out flower on a stem, piercing the center of the flower with the sharp edge of a green strip.

So attach all the prepared flowers. That's all, an artificial vase with flowers will delight you at any time of the year.

And another video. Crazy hands. Vase made of plastic bottles (03/14/2004)

The first association that arises in us when we hear about bottle vases- this is circumcised plastic container, in which, in the absence of a real one, flowers can temporarily stand at work or at home. But the examples that you will see in our article today prove that scrap materials can be used to create items to decorate any interior, in which you would not be ashamed to place the most expensive bouquet.

Vase from a bottle

Use for interior decoration vase from a bottle- this is new fashion trend for all lovers home design. Moreover, the bottles used are transparent, glass, with a wide neck, which most often previously contained dairy products. This trend came to us along with the fashion for environmentally friendly clean materials and the refusal of plastic packaging in the premium food segment. And then it’s just a shame to just throw these glass bottles away, because they can serve you faithfully for many years to come.

Particularly chic is the design of flower arrangements using containers of various sizes and shapes. This is how each flower looks individually, unlike the others. You can find an example of such a fashionable design in magazines devoted to fashion design, and what is important for the use of such vases made from bottles, photo which you see above, that in this case the glass products do not require any modification and they, exactly the same as they once came off the assembly line, will become an integral part of the modern interior.

But if it's not about modern style, and, for example, if we, then it is much better to decorate the glass surface, giving it a new texture or color. Indeed, in those times of domination classic styles, in the interiors of village houses in Provence, glass was a rather valuable material, unlike ceramics, and was used very rarely. Therefore, any transparent base must be brought to an ideal appearance and decorated. For this they can be used various ways, some of which we will talk about. The easiest method for beginning craftsmen may be the appliqué method, and it uses such accessible material as woolen threads or twine.

Working with glass, when glue is used as a fastening material, should always include preparatory stage degreasing. This is done in order to improve adhesion to a slippery surface and make both the glue layer and the paint layer smoother, and the service life of such a coating is longer. To degrease, simply wipe the glass with any liquid that contains alcohol, starting with cologne or nail polish remover and ending with alcoholic drinks. After this, you should immediately begin the decorating process. In this case, for the task, how to make a vase from a bottle, it was the twine that was used. Its tip is glued to the bottom of the container, then glue is applied a few centimeters high over the entire surface and a string of twine is carefully wound in one layer. After this, apply glue again and wrap again decorative material. When you reach the very top, hide the tip of the last row on inner surface neck. The twine itself is not very attractive, so for additional decoration you can cover it with colored paint, and you can apply it either with a brush or with a regular kitchen sponge. With such vases they will turn out especially beautiful.

DIY bottle vases

Always look smart DIY bottle vases, which are hand-painted and covered with patterns and ornaments. Even non-professional artists can handle this kind of work, especially if you first make a sketch and practice.

Of course, not all paints can be used to solve the problem. Special stained glass dyes are ideal, which can be bought not only in specialized paint and varnish stores, but also in children's hobby centers, because creating stained glass on a glass surface is a very exciting type of needlework. These paints differ in that they dry perfectly on a glass surface, but their special variety, the so-called contours, are thicker and help create boundaries beyond which the paint does not flow, forming an even, beautiful layer. This technique helps in working not only with glass, but also with transparent plastic, creating bright colors.

However, you can make your task much easier and first make one common color as a background, and then paint the simplest patterns on it; the work will still look skillful and expensive. You can paint the container both inside and outside, the first method is much easier, but in the second case you will get a truly attractive appearance your crafts.

Decorating paint can not only be matte or glossy, you can also use unusual textures, such as glitter. You can see the visual embodiment of this idea in the photo above. If you were unable to initially find paint with the given parameters, then you can use glitter separately, spraying it onto the painted surface before it has had time to dry. At the same time, you should sprinkle the glitter itself in a thick enough layer, in generous handfuls, so that all the glitter that can stick does so. However, you can collect the rest that will remain on the previously laid paper and apply it to a vase of a different shade. To prevent the glitter from falling off later, you can cover the entire surface of the craft with transparent varnish (often they even use hairspray for this purpose), after which you can safely pick it up and install it in the room. Bright, unusual objects will be one of the...

In addition to paint, colored stickers that cover the transparent bottle in several places or close it completely will also look great. If expensive stickers are not affordable for everyone, then you can buy tape with a pattern and use it as the main material for decorating glass or plastic products.

DIY bottle vase

In addition to the fact that the glass surface can be covered with patterns or using appliqué, decoupage and other techniques, you can also experiment with shape, and not just with the shade of the surface. To do this, you will need a glass cutter and skill in working with such a tool. the main objective, which is pursued with such a modification - do in do-it-yourself basics from a bottle, about which at first glance you cannot say that it was made with the help of an improvised consumables. On the contrary, such crafts can stand on par with expensive designer decorative elements.

As an example of the work we talked about above, you can give the following photo. In this case, while maintaining the overall height of the original product, it is reformatted so that small-sized flowers or hanging plants will look great inside. However, due to the fact that the long neck is immersed in the lower half, you can also place flowers inside average size, the diameter of the stems will be quite thin.

And in the next example, which looks at making a vase from plastic bottles, we see how the same original form can be transformed, creating new, interesting combinations, and these ideas are enough for an entire plastic service. Moreover, due to the fact that it is easier and safer to work with plastic than with glass, such ideas can be easily implemented, or you can organize your own hanging gardens at your dacha.

Vase made from a plastic bottle

The varieties look very elegant vases from a plastic bottle, which are made using the cutting technique. The patterns on their surface are voluminous, openwork, reminiscent of lace fabric rather than banal plastic. The only drawback is that such a technique is not so easy to master, however, like any other when it comes to creating real artistic value. Therefore, we can only admire examples of such works, or, if great desire, master cutting master classes, starting with learning how to repeat such masterpieces yourself.

It's good that there are ways to make DIY vase from a plastic bottle, which are much easier to understand even for beginners. For example, like such a cute kitten, which you can repeat by taking a standard container from mineral water. This method of creating crafts is similar to that in which you first need to mark the contours of the future figurine, cut it out using scissors or a thin knife, and then cover it with a background color and paint it.

The technique is similar to the creation and production of such a small vase. It can be used not only for storing flowers, but also, for example, for fruits or sweets. It’s quite simple to do - cut off the plastic neck, and cut the remaining smooth walls into thin vertical strips, not reaching the end at an evenly defined height. Then, using scissors, each strip is folded and decorated with additional decor, be it paper butterflies, as in the example given, pebbles, or shells.

DIY vases from plastic bottles

Even without changing the shape, without cutting or covering the entire surface with paint, you can make unusual and elegant DIY vases from plastic bottles. A simple trick works here - even if you have a cheap and unattractive base, you need to add to it interesting decor so that in the end the craft turns out attractive.

So in the first example, the container, cut straight along the upper edge, is decorated with an appliqué of shiny stones. In the same way, you can use flowers made of plastic or clay, lace, rhinestones. And in the second example, after finishing with plastic ribbons, nothing at all reveals the origin of the elegant interior decor.
