House made of natural materials. We make interesting crafts with our own hands

Wooden house – interesting element decor and decoration for a children's room. If your little princess is growing up and her dolls simply need luxurious apartments.

Wood is an environmentally friendly material, and branches can be easily found in the park near the house; they make excellent DIY crafts.

House made of branches

Material selection

IN famous fairy tale three little pigs built houses out of different materials, only the stone one survived. We are not afraid of the gray wolf, adopting the experience of Nuf-Nuf, we will build a house from branches with our own hands. First of all, we go to the forest or park to search for wooden materials.

It is better to choose a clear autumn day for this.

For decoration, moss, pieces of bark, pine needles, acorns, cones are useful, take whatever you like, it will be useful for decorating the craft.

If the weather was wet, everything at home will have to be thoroughly dried; wet workpieces will not stick.

To build a hut with your own hands, you do not need to clean the branches; on the contrary, the more roughness and carelessness, the more interesting and natural the craft will be. We carefully examine all the material and build a plan for the future home.

If your imagination is well developed and is able to capture images, you don’t have to draw a sketch. But it's worth making a small sketch.

We select suitable wooden branches and cut them according to the sketch. To prevent too large gaps in the craft, make recesses on both sides, like on logs for building log houses.

Construction works

Build a regular one wooden house It’s easy to build a hut with your own hands, just fold the shelves alternately lengthwise and crosswise. For structural strength, each row must be coated with glue; use regular PVA or a hot glue gun.

Don't forget to leave room for windows and doors. Window frames and doors can also be made from glued branches or from a small piece of plywood.

MORE ABOUT: Christmas tree using origami technique

We make the frame for the roof from the same branches, but the covering can be very diverse. Yellow fresh straw will shine brightly in the sun. Small twigs will ensure the unity of the composition, and colorful autumn leaves will create a festive mood.

Decoration

Local area wooden house decorate with moss and other natural materials. The caps of acorns will make excellent mushrooms. Coniferous bushes will create an ambience for the craft.

Or maybe you’ll end up with a real hut on chicken legs with a friendly lady owner.

You can build a house with your own hands in another way. Use ancient weaving technology. This technique produces excellent round structures for kikimora.

A curious effect is produced by the chaotic gluing of knotty pieces onto the frame - the base.

Popsicle stick house

To dial required quantity wooden sticks, it is not at all necessary to collect them whole year or count a ton of treats at once. Now this is a very popular material; you can buy them in a craft store or in a supermarket in the disposable tableware.

New wooden sticks do not need any treatment.

It is very easy to make a similar wooden doll house with your own hands.

We lay out the sticks in a row and fasten them across with another stick spread with glue. In this way, walls and ceilings and even roofs are created. All that remains is to glue the blanks together. From the same shelves it is easy to make a staircase to the second floor and furniture for a doll.

Bright and unusual wooden crafts are made from painted sticks.

It is better to paint them before making the craft, this way you will be able to avoid unpainted areas and mixing the colors of individual elements. Choose odorless, waterproof paint; take acrylic coated with varnish.

Round ice cream sticks make real masterpieces, no different from classic log construction. The only difference is the scale. We have to build two floors with a balcony and an entrance hall.

  1. For the base, take a piece of plywood of a suitable size. We use gypsum or foam plastic as the foundation.
  2. We begin to build the structure on the foundation, starting from the floor. First of all, we build a frame and lay the floor sticks on it. The finished floor should look like this:
  3. in each log we cut out a hollow into which the log of the previous row will fit, and so on. We build a frame from the same sticks. It will help not only determine the shape of the future house, but also make the work smoother.
  4. Don't forget about doors and windows. We insert pre-prepared frame structures and decorate with curtains made with our own hands from a beautiful piece of fabric.
  5. You can go inside led light bulbs. This wooden lamp will appeal not only to children, but will also be a good gift for a friend.

The first version of the craft

This house was made by Iskander Khazipov (6 years old). Teacher - Khazipova Gulnaz Galimkhanovna, Kazan. (MADOU " Kindergarten № 174 combined type» Moskovsky district of Kazan)

Pumpkin house: necessary materials

Pumpkin, zucchini, rowan berries, blueberries, various sparkles, pine cones, dry branches, a knife, cloves, kitchen accessories.

How to make a pumpkin house with your own hands with children

Step 2: Pumpkin follows remove seeds and pulp using a knife (this is done by an adult).

Step 3. Now Mark the pumpkin with a marker in places where doors and windows will be located. Mark the window with a felt-tip pen.

Step 4. After that, proceed to cutting out parts. Carved shutters and others decorative elements can be cut using shaped kitchen tools. It is not at all necessary to maintain neatness and clarity of lines (this will give the house a more gloomy look). Attach the prepared parts to the pumpkin using small nails.

Step 5. It's time to work on the roof of the house.

Cut half the zucchini and place it on top of the pumpkin and decorate with various glitter. We place red rowan berries on top of the pumpkin, and also put a cone (in the form of a pipe) on the roof. Step 6. Place the pumpkin on zucchini cut into rings and decorate with pine cones and dried blueberries.

The second option for making a pumpkin house

This pumpkin house was made for our competition by the family: Nabukhatny Lyubov, Nabukhatny Dmitry and their son Nabukhatny Igor (9 years old), Perm.

To make this pumpkin craft you will need:

Natural materials:

- pumpkin,
- bark,
- plasticine,
- needles, leaves, grass,
- acorn cap,
- pebbles,
- cones,
- thin sticks.

Decorative material:

- wooden button,
- lace,
- key.

Super glue to hold all the parts together.

How to make a pumpkin house like this

- leaves from larch. Making a house. After cutting out the bottom of the pumpkin, we cleaned out all the pulp from the inside. Windows and doors were cut out. The roof was made from thin pine bark, gluing the pieces on top of each other. It turned out very similar to a tiled roof. The door was a good piece of thick bark, the handle on the door was an acorn cap.
Step 2. Decorating the house. To make the house cozy, you need to decorate it. Lace curtains were glued to the windows. The flower boxes were glued together from cardboard and decorated with pine cone scales. Summer is over, the flowers have faded. Therefore, the boxes now contain fallen leaves and pine needles. “Vine vines” stretch to the window on the second floor; we made them from green marsh grass. The carved bottom of the pumpkin served as decoration for the back wall of the house. With a button in the middle and rays, it reminded us of a mill. A key by the door and steps made of sticks completed this stage of the work.
Step 3. Moving into the house. The house was installed in a low box. A piece of moss became a clearing in front of the house. The rest of the surface was covered with small pebbles.
At the end of the work, we dreamed for a long time about who could live in our house. Maybe a gnome, or a fairy with transparent wings, or a kind old sorceress. In the end, we decided that we ourselves were ready to live in fairy house. It's a pity that he is too small for our large family.

Friendly gnome.
It is with these lines that I want to introduce this fabulous craft!

For work we needed: blank sticks - 28 pieces, cardboard (for the roof of the house), Super glue, plasticine, leaves, 2 cones, a spruce branch, a stapler, a board or plywood.

Progress:
1. First, take twigs and leaves. We make the branches the same length (about 20 cm).

2. With stationery knife We make recesses on the branches on both sides at the same distance (in order to conveniently fold the house).
3. We begin to build our house of sticks one by one. We secure the sticks together with glue.
4. While the glue is drying on the walls of our house, let’s start assembling the roof. We take cardboard or thick paper, fold it in the middle, for the sides of the roof we take cardboard and cut it in the form of triangles (2 pieces).

5. fold the edges and secure them with a stapler.
6. We begin to attach the leaves to our roof (you can use a stapler or glue). We start attaching from the bottom.

7. We attach the finished roof to the walls of the house using superglue.
8. Take a board or plywood (approximately A4 size, maybe a little larger so that our house fits on it).
We fix the house onto a board using superglue. Using plasticine we fix the Christmas tree near the house, using glue/plasticine we fix the cones. Then we make a winding path out of glue and sprinkle it with finely chopped leaves. We make windows and a door from plasticine in the house.

Installation of a hanging table

Step 1:

First you need to choose a suitable board with an unusual texture. Sand all uneven surfaces with a sander.

Step 2:

Next, you need to drill three holes that will match the diameter of the selected rope. The holes should be equidistant from each other, and one of them should be located as close to the wall as possible. You can hang the table using four ropes, then you will need to drill four holes.

Step 3:

The wooden surface should be covered with several layers of polyurethane, allowing each of them to dry. Since the table will be adjacent to the wall, protect its surface from damage. To do this, glue a strip of felt to the part of the table that is adjacent to the wall with hot glue.

Step 4:

Next, pull the ropes through the holes and tie strong knots under the board. After this, you need to drill a small hole in the ceiling and insert a screw with a ring into which you should thread an S-shaped hook.

In a similar way, you can make crafts for the New Year in the form of a Christmas tree, decorating it with decor, or a star on the door, crafts for Valentine's Day.

Heart made of twigs

First you need to cut quite a lot of square-shaped sticks on a circular saw. Approximately 16mm thick. If there are six crowns in this house, then 24 sticks are needed. Our house is square in plan, which means the sticks are needed the same length. The length of the sticks must be chosen according to the length of the future walls of the house. Plus 2 centimeters.

Then you need to give the sticks a cylindrical shape. This is usually done on a special machine. We don’t have one, so we use a regular wood lathe.

Front and rear centers The machine leaves quite noticeable indentations on the stick during processing. Therefore, the ends of the sticks, where the indentations remain, need to be cut off. A centimeter on one side and a centimeter on the other. And so you need to process all 24 sticks.
The indentations are clearly visible in this photo.

Then two indentations are cut into each stick.

Then we coat these indentations with “Stolyar” glue (quick-drying PVA). If necessary, we smear the entire length of the stick.

And glue it together. Crown after crown.

Until we collect the entire log house. It will take about 15 minutes for the “carpenter” to dry. Therefore, all this time the entire frame needs to be pressed from above. You can just do it with your hands. When everything sticks together, it should look like this.

Now we mark the slots for the door and windows.

And saw through with a jigsaw.

Before cutting out the windows, we drill a hole in the wall of the house. We will then insert a file into it. Sawing windows and doorways This will just show us whether we glued the sticks tightly together or not.

Where necessary, we trim with a knife.

As a result, we should get this.

Then we grind and trim the ends of the logs on a rotating plywood wheel with sanding paper.

We paint the house with a strong manganese solution. Only possible outside.

When the manganese dries, we wipe the house with sandpaper. This is how we get a color stretch. Some places are highlighted, others remain dark.

The result should be like this. Here we have blanks for two houses at once.

Then we cut out two triangular pediments from fiberboard. The roof angle on most houses is 90 degrees. In the pediment blank you need to make two semicircular cutouts for sticks. They are made with a semicircular chisel.

Then birch bark is glued onto these blanks. And already on it is embossed, depicting the boards and structure of the tree. Embossing can be done with a very large needle. Then the embossed surface is painted with manganese, and the excess dye is washed off with a 646 solvent. You need to rub hard. Firmly pressing a cloth soaked in solvent onto the birch bark. It should look like this.

Then windows are cut out of birch bark according to the size of the openings. It's better to have two layers. Then they need to be glued together and glued into the openings.

But the windows and gables are already glued into place.
